3 Books I Never Finished -- And Why

Happy Hump Day! Today I gathered a few books from the deepest corners of my brain that I never finished reading, and thought I'd tell you why I never completed them. Now, just for the record, I am not one to abandon a good book, but sometimes you just can't bear the pain. So here we go!
1. Pax by Sarah Pennypacker
I actually LOVED the plot and the writing style, but it was SOOOOO sad, so I gave up. It made me sad, especially considering how adorable the cover art was, but it just hurt to read.
2. Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
The first book was great, but this one just dropped the ball. It didn't have a great plot, so I chose another book. It just didn't live up to the hype and legacy that the rest of the series carries on it's shoulders (but my friend says that they get better again later n the series, so I might try them again..)
3. The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfield
I had mixed feelings about the first book (click here for the review), and so I never read the rest of the series. I am considering going back to it because the cliffhanger that it ended on was pretty epic in my opinion, but we'll just have to see what the future holds!
Thanks for readings this week, and I really hope that this helps guide you to pick what book (and which book not) to read next! Make sure to subscribe and comment, and I hope to see you next week!
