New Years Goals!

Hi everyone! Even though the New Year isn't that new anymore, I wanted to share my yearly reading goals with you! Maybe this will help you develop your new ambitions for 2019. but first...
Did I meet my goals from last year?
1. Read MORE.
I'm not 100% satisfied on my progress with this one. I did read a book over the summer and I started listening to the Harry Potter audio books, but other then those and the books I read during school, I feel like I didn't increase my average rate. I will continue to work on this and try to curate a more attainable goal this year.
2. Expand my horizon.
I definitely made some progress on this! I read The Help, which is historical fiction, Fingerprints and Phantoms, which is non-fictional, and Refugee, which is also historical fiction. I'm recovering from the dystopian disease!
3. Write personal reviews.
I haven't started this yet. I found the small review notebook that I have a few weeks ago, so I will begin that this year!
4. Read slower.
I have worked on this! I feel like I am able to remember the smaller details better now by using tactics like mouthing the words I'm reading as I take on a slower pace so I can absorb the details better.
5. Talk about my reading.
I have been talking about the books I read with my family and friends, but I will try to find a solution to share my thoughts with you in smaller and more frequent ways than reviews!
Alright! I can definitely improve on my goals this year, so lots of them will be the same, but here they are!
1. Read 3 times a week for 20 minutes.
I will strive for everyday, but 3 is a good minimum to begin with!
2. Read more non-fiction.
As I began to read this genre more often, I realized how much I enjoy it. It's cool to connect what you're reading to the real world, so I will continue with this!
3. Write personal reviews
Same as last year, but now I found my notebook, so I'll start!
4. Finish the Harry Potter audio books.
It's SOOOOOO fun to listen to! If you want to read them but don't want to read them, try this out! I read these books a long time ago, so I want to take it in again!
5. Figure out more structure for the blog!
This site is very important to me, so I want to make it a priority to keep it running! It is difficult with school, but I won't give up on it! I'm gonna keep reading and writing for you!
Thanks for reading this week, and I hope everyone's 2019 is as full of reading as mine will be!
